## Introduction

Removing leaked copies of your content is a business decision as much as a legal one. A leak can cost you subscribers and sales; removing copies limits how far it spreads. This post looks at where leaks touch your income, how to estimate that with your own numbers, and what a takedown service does and does not do.

One thing first: no service can prevent a leak. Once someone has saved your content and posted it, the work is finding the copies and asking the sites and search engines that carry them to remove them.

## Where Leaks Touch Your Income

### Subscriptions

A subscription works because the content behind it is exclusive. When the same photos and videos are free elsewhere, fans who find them there have less reason to subscribe, and a leak can lead some subscribers to cancel.

### Pay-per-view and custom content

Pay-per-view content can be pirated too. Locked posts, paid messages and custom requests are the items fans pay for one at a time, so a free copy of one of them competes directly with the sale.

### Your time

Finding copies, collecting links and filing notices by hand takes hours that would otherwise go into making content or running your page. That time has a cost even when you do not pay anyone.

## Revenue Streams Worth Knowing

Before you decide what to protect first, list where your money comes from:

- **OnlyFans:** subscriptions, pay-per-view and tips.
- **Fansly:** [subscription tiers and locked media (pay-per-view)](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/12327468-get-started-monetizing).
- **ManyVids:** sales of your videos.

Many creators sell on more than one platform. A leak of content you sell on one platform can still hurt sales on the others, so it helps to know which items earn the most wherever you sell them.

## Putting Numbers on the Risk

The examples below use made-up numbers to show the arithmetic. They are not real data; use your own figures.

### Example 1: lost subscribers

A creator earns $10,000 a month from 500 subscribers ($20 each). After a large leak, 100 subscribers cancel: $2,000 a month, or $24,000 over a year if they do not come back. If the copies are found and removed early, fewer people see them, and fewer may cancel.

### Example 2: cost against risk

Compare two monthly amounts: the price of a plan (P) and what leaks cost you (L), from your own churn and lost sales after past leaks. Protection is worth it when P is below L plus the value of the time you no longer spend on takedowns yourself. Adult Model Protection's paid plans cost $69 (Essentials), $169 (Luxe) or $349 (Glamour) a month; see the [pricing page](/pricing). Removing copies limits a leak but cannot undo it, so count only the part of L that early removal could realistically save.

## What to Track Yourself

You know your own business numbers best. These are worth watching, before and after a leak:

- Monthly recurring revenue and subscriber churn
- Average revenue per subscriber
- Pay-per-view sales of items that leaked compared with items that did not
- How quickly you find a leak, and how long removal takes

The Adult Model Protection dashboard shows each takedown request and its status (being prepared, removed, partly removed, closed), and its analytics show the success rate (removed, not removed, in progress) per period. It does not measure your revenue: comparing removals with your own earnings is up to you.

![Five steps to weigh the cost of content protection: list your income per platform, estimate the loss from your own churn after a past leak, add the time spent on takedowns, compare that with the plan price, then have AMP find copies and file notices on the Essentials plan or higher.](/images/blog/blog-maximizing-revenue-through-content-protection.webp)

## Deciding What to Protect First

Not every post needs the same attention. A practical order:

1. **Your highest-priced items:** pay-per-view sets and custom content.
2. **Recent releases:** new content is what fans are looking for.
3. **Your signature content:** the sets people associate with you.
4. **Older and promotional content:** still yours, but usually less urgent.

Upload the content you care most about as content assets, so it is included in reverse image searches. Your content assets are used only to search for copies and are never shared with third parties.

A note on watermarks: a visible watermark with your name or page can make copies easier to recognise. Adult Model Protection does not provide watermarking yet; it is in development. Adult Model Protection also never identifies who leaked your content; for legal options against a person, ask a lawyer.

## What a Takedown Service Does

You can file copyright notices yourself, for free, using each platform's own form and Google's removal form. What a service adds is the time-consuming part:

- **Finding copies:** on paid plans our team runs regular scans of Google, Bing, Yandex and more than 500 known leak and piracy sites, plus reverse image and manual searches. You get a notification for a new find.
- **Filing and checking:** notices are filed under AMP's name as your authorized agent, a person checks every notice, and we check whether the page is gone and file again for re-uploads. Essentials covers up to 100 platform notices a month; Luxe and higher plans are unlimited.

A site or search engine reviews a valid notice and can remove the content; nobody can guarantee that it will. Our removal estimate is 24–72 hours, an estimate and not a guarantee. For the steps of a notice, see [how a DMCA notice works](/services/dmca-takedowns-adult-content); for OnlyFans copies specifically, see [removing leaked OnlyFans content](/services/remove-onlyfans-leaked-content).

### Which plan fits

- **Free:** a quarterly web scan, a dashboard preview and DIY guides. No takedowns.
- **Essentials:** unlimited search-engine de-indexing, up to 100 platform notices a month, and escalation.
- **Luxe and higher plans:** unlimited notices, plus removals on social media and messengers.

See [pricing](/pricing) to compare the plans against the numbers you worked out above.

## Talking to Subscribers About It

Some creators tell subscribers that they actively remove leaked copies. That can reassure paying fans. If you share takedown results, keep them general and leave out links and details, so you do not point anyone to a copy.

## Key Takeaways

- A leak can lead to cancelled subscriptions and lost pay-per-view sales; removing copies limits how far it spreads, but cannot undo the leak.
- Work out the risk with your own revenue and churn numbers, not someone else's.
- Protect your highest-priced and newest content first.
- Compare the cost of a plan with what leaks cost you, including your time.
