# Remove Stolen Content from Telegram

## How Stolen Content Spreads on Telegram
Creators commonly report three forms of Telegram piracy. Public leak channels post content from many creators for free and can be joined by anyone. Private paid groups, often sold as "VIP" access, charge a fee for a library of stolen content and compete directly with a creator's own subscription page. Bots send a creator's content on request when a user types a name or username.
Creators also commonly report that a channel or bot that is removed comes back under a new name. That is why one complaint is rarely the end of a Telegram case.

## How Telegram Handles a Copyright Complaint
Telegram is not a US company. Its [privacy policy](https://telegram.org/privacy) names its parent company, Telegram Group Inc, in the British Virgin Islands, and a group company, Telegram FZ-LLC, in Dubai.
Telegram's route for copyright is the email address in its [FAQ](https://telegram.org/faq), dmca@telegram.org. We use that address for every complaint, and Telegram reviews each complaint and can remove the content.

Telegram publishes no response time. Our estimate for a Telegram copyright complaint is 5 to 14 days; it is an estimate, not a guarantee, and some cases take weeks.
### What a Copyright Complaint Includes
We follow the elements the [US Copyright Office](https://www.copyright.gov/512/) lists for a takedown notice: identification of your work, the link to each channel, group, bot or post, contact details, a good faith statement, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and the sender is authorized, and a signature. ## Copyright or Intimate Images: Which Report Fits
Telegram's [FAQ](https://telegram.org/faq) also has a separate route: "If you encounter content on Telegram that you believe is a non-consensual intimate image or video concerning yourself, you or your representative can report it". For paid content you made and sell yourself, the problem is usually that it was copied without permission, so a copyright complaint is the route that fits. When an image or video was shared without your consent, we can file that report as your authorized representative instead.

## Filing as Your Agent, and What Happens to Your Name
We send every Telegram complaint on behalf of Adult Model Protection as your authorized agent, and a person on our takedown team checks each one before it is sent. The rights holder named on the complaint is your model (stage) name, and Telegram may show it to the person who posted the content. Your legal name is only shared with your consent, and only with a recipient that needs it and keeps it confidential; you can withdraw that consent at any time.
If a platform follows the US counter-notice process, it may restore the content after 10 to 14 business days unless it is told within that period that the copyright owner has filed a court action ([US Copyright Office](https://www.copyright.gov/512/)). Our takedown team tells you when a counter-notice arrives and explains your options; the decision is yours, and we do not give legal advice.

## Filing Yourself or With AMP
You can email Telegram's copyright address yourself, for free. There is no need to join or post in a leak channel to do it.
What AMP adds is the work around the email: finding the channels, groups and bots in the first place, collecting every link, filing under AMP's name instead of yours, checking each complaint before it is sent, checking afterwards whether each channel or post is gone, and handling the copies on other sites.
## How We Find Your Content on Telegram
Our takedown team searches public Telegram channels and known piracy channels by hand, including channels built around a platform such as OnlyFans or Fansly, and searches by your creator names and username variants. Private groups are covered by our team as well, but what can be found there is limited and never guaranteed, so send us any link you come across. You can submit links yourself from your dashboard.
Your content assets are used only to search for copies and are never shared with third parties. Content fingerprinting, which would also match thumbnails and edited copies, is in development and not a current feature. AMP never identifies who runs a channel or who leaked the content.
## After the Complaint: Removal Checks and New Channels
After a complaint is sent, we check whether each channel, bot or post is gone, through page checks and manual checks, and you follow every request and its status in your dashboard. When Telegram does not act, our takedown team follows up with Telegram's abuse team.
Our regular scans and manual searches look for your content again, including in new channels and bots, and each one that turns up gets a new complaint. You get a notification when a scan finds a new copy.
## When Telegram Leads to Other Sites
Creators commonly report Telegram channels that link to copies on file hosts and leak sites. Removing a channel does not remove those copies, and it does not delete files that users already downloaded. Our scans cover search engines and more than 500 known leak and piracy sites, and copies we find there get their own notices, to the site, its host or, when a site ignores us, its registrar, hosting provider or payment processor. For a paid group, we report to the payment processor where we can identify it.

Can Telegram bots that share my content be removed?
We send copyright complaints for bots in the same way as for channels. Results vary, and an operator can create a new bot, so our later searches look for new bots too.
Does removing a Telegram channel stop my content from spreading?
Removal stops sharing from that channel. It does not delete content that users already downloaded, and copies on linked sites need their own notices. That is why we keep searching after a removal.
Is there anything I can do to make my content harder to share on Telegram?
A visible watermark can make reposts less useful and help show where a copy came from. AMP does not offer watermarking; it is in development and not a current feature. No measure prevents theft completely.
