Where Recorded Chaturbate Shows End Up
Creators commonly report three kinds of theft: recordings of private or public shows uploaded by other users as their own content, clips and compilations cut from public shows, and accounts that use a broadcaster's photos, stage name and bio.
Recorded shows are often copied to other sites, file hosts and Telegram channels, and can show up in search results for your broadcaster name. Screen recordings from a single show can be uploaded several times by different users, and each copy needs its own takedown. Removing one copy leaves the others in place.
How Chaturbate Handles a DMCA Notice
Chaturbate's own DMCA page says that it complies with the DMCA as a registered service provider, that users may only upload content they own or have the right to distribute, and that it removes infringing content from its platform when it receives a valid DMCA notice. Its terms add that it enforces a repeat infringer policy and terminates the accounts of repeat infringers.
On ownership, Chaturbate states that it does not claim ownership of your shows and that they are entirely your property. In the United States, copyright exists automatically once a work is fixed, and no registration is needed to send a takedown notice.
What Chaturbate's DMCA Form Asks For

Chaturbate's form does not ask for separate proof of ownership. Chaturbate says its DMCA team reviews a request and responds as soon as possible; it does not publish a response time. Chaturbate also describes content posted elsewhere without your consent as a major violation of privacy, and for that it points broadcasters to the same DMCA takedown request form. For a recording of your show, the copyright route is the one that fits.
Affiliate Sites Are Not Always Leaks
Not every copy of your room on another site is stolen. Chaturbate explains that it works with affiliate sites that show live broadcasts, not recordings, through its affiliate API, and that all Chaturbate accounts are opted in to this by default. You can opt out under "Settings & Privacy" by setting "Appear on network sites" to "NO", which Chaturbate says may lower the traffic to your room.
Chaturbate says an affiliate site that still stores images of your broadcast more than 24 hours after your last stream can be reported through its DMCA form. So before reporting a site, check whether it is an affiliate showing your live room.
Filing Yourself or With AMP
You can do this yourself, for free. Chaturbate offers broadcasters a free DMCA notice service for copies on other sites, and recommends first sending a DMCA report directly to the site that hosts the copy, since most of those sites have their own form. Chaturbate also notes that some sites ignore its requests, and that only you, as the copyright owner, can take further legal action against them.

Filing as Your Agent, and What Happens to Your Name
AMP signs and files every notice as your authorized agent. The rights holder named on the notice is your model (stage) name, and the site may show it to the uploader; for notices to Google or Bing, Lumen may publish it. Your legal name is only shared with your consent, and only with a recipient that needs it and keeps it confidential, never with Google, Bing, X, Cloudflare or others that publish or forward notices.
If the uploader files a counter-notice, the site may restore the content after 10 to 14 business days unless it is told within that period that the copyright owner has filed a court action (US Copyright Office). After the Notice: Removal Checks and Re-uploads
After a notice is sent, we check whether each copy is gone, through page checks and manual checks, and you follow every request and its status in your dashboard. When a site does not act, our takedown team sends a follow-up. A request that is rejected can be corrected and sent again.
Removed shows are sometimes uploaded again. Re-uploads are found in later scans and manual searches, and each one gets a new notice. When a site ignores notices, we escalate to its hosting provider, domain registrar, internet service provider or Cloudflare, or to a payment processor. Escalation is included on every paid plan, and results vary.
Impersonation Accounts on Chaturbate
Impersonation accounts can use a broadcaster's photos, stage name and bio. If someone is using your photos or recordings to broadcast as you, contact Chaturbate Support, and use its DMCA form for the stolen photos or videos.

Search Results, Telegram and Other Platforms
Search engine de-indexing asks Google and Bing to drop infringing pages from their results; it is unlimited on every paid plan. Google says its average processing time for copyright removal requests through its web form for Search is about 6 hours, and that many factors can change this for a single request. A page removed from search results can still exist on the site, which is why the site gets its own notice.

Timeline Expectations
Chaturbate says its DMCA team responds as soon as possible and publishes no response time. Some sites are hosted outside the United States, which can make removal slower.
Other Things Worth Knowing
A DMCA notice does not require financial records, so please do not send us tip or token records. Keeping your original recordings and show dates helps if ownership is questioned. A visible watermark on your stream can make recorded content less appealing to redistributors; AMP does not provide watermarking yet, it is in development.
